CEO Brice Helman and Project Manager Mei Lu travelled to Shanghai to connect with industry colleagues at the IAAPA Asia Expo. This was a first time visit for ProIO at the show in the Asia territory but it's not the first time that ProIO has been in the region.
Known for our work with clients such as Chimelong, MGM Macau, and AVIC Vision, this summer's visit to China felt more like a connection of friends rather than exploration of a new market. ProIO has long-term experience with location-based entertainment projects and was able to connect with others in the region to explore ways to collaborate on future projects.
Over the past several years, China and the surrounding areas had several economic hardships on the outset of the Covid-19 pandemic that has stalled investment and growth in the entertainment industry. With the IAAPA Expo taking place in Shanghai this year, it was a fresh take on the region as it is apparent that projects will soon start popping up.
ProIO remains dedicated to contributing to immersive projects in China and the Asia region and helping bridge the gap between the storytelling trend-setters in the West with the cutting edge technology of the East.
